In addition to designing and implementing robust data architecture, the successful candidate will lead the SecurityMaster development team, overseeing the quality, performance, and scalability of the teams’ deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise
in data architecture, data modeling, and data management within the financial services sector, particularly in a hedge fund environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture and Design:
Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and
objectives.
Develop and maintain the data architecture for the Security Master system (SecMaster), including data models, metadata, and data flow
diagrams.
Ensure the data architecture supports high availability, performance, and scalability requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage the SecMaster team of Python/SQL Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
Oversee the day-to-day operations and agile SDLC of the SecMaster team, ensuring project deadlines and deliverables are met.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
Data Modeling and Management:
Create and maintain logical and physical data models for the Security Master and related systems in conjunction with business
stakeholders.
Establish and maintain data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
Define data management policies and procedures, including data lineage, data cataloging, and data retention.
Monitor and optimize data processes to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and storage.
Technology Leadership:
Evaluate and recommend data management tools and technologies to enhance the data architecture.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture and data management.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.
